01 / Vision

A future where crops are protected through data and precision — not broad-spectrum chemistry.

As climate change accelerates the spread of devastating plant diseases across Europe, modern agriculture faces unprecedented biological risks. SENTRY addresses this threat by building Europe’s first integrated plant health platform, combining digital twins, AI forecasting, and real-time environmental molecular sensing to stop crop outbreaks before they escalate.

02 / Objectives

SENTRY core goals: transforming sustainable agriculture

01

Reduce pesticide use

Empowering farmers with early-warning tools to target treatments precisely, drastically cutting unnecessary chemical inputs and supporting European Green Deal goals.

02

Extend product shelf-life

Deploying innovative physical sanitation and sustainable antimicrobial packaging to protect agricultural goods from the open field all the way to the supermarket shelf.

03

Strengthen resilience

Mitigating the direct impact of climate-driven plant pathogen risks across diverse agro-climatic zones, ensuring long-term food security and reduced post-harvest losses.

03 / Technologies

An integrated digital and precision phytosanitary system

A

Advanced monitoring

Deploying autonomous airborne pathogen diagnostics and smart environmental sensing arrays to continuously scan fields for early biological threats.

B

AI tools

Harnessing predictive AI models, digital twins, and data analytics to virtually simulate disease risks, outbreak pathways and allow farmers to evaluate potential phytosanitary interventions.

C

Control measures

Introducing eco-friendly, physical solutions like nanobubble water systems, UV-C sanitation, biocontrol agents and cold plasma to treat crops safely and minimize chemical dependencies.

04 / Consortium

21 partners across Europe. One mission

Coordinated by Stremble Ventures Ltd in Cyprus, the SENTRY consortium unites leading universities, research institutes, tech pioneers, and agricultural leaders across seven European nations — including Italy, Greece, Portugal, Belgium, Slovenia, and the Netherlands — combining scientific excellence with real-world farming experience.
